I run two HDS Gen 2's. Suddenly I lost all my waypoints and I'm not even able to make new ones. I switched units out at the console since they're identical and same thing. I also noticed when making a trail it won't save them either after the unit has been turned off.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Hopefully you have them backed up so that you can recover them. Very odd that two units are exhibiting the same issue. If you go into the file utility and look at your waypoints does it say there are zero? Could be that something happened to corrupt both units waypoint file. Only thing that I can think of is to perform resets on both units. Try it on one unit first to see if it resolves the issue. See what happens if you first try to save the waypoints to an SD card and see what it says.

HDS reset procedures. Be sure and backup your WRT and settings to an SD card prior to performing them.

Soft Reset (Should not delete your data)
1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the PAGES key
3. Press and Release the PWR key
4. Release all buttons when the USA map appears

Hard reset (Deletes all your data)
1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the ZIN&ZOUT Keys at the same time
3. Press and Release the PWR key
4. Release all buttons when the USA map appears

Before I did anything else I'd call Lowrance tech service and ask them for help. If you did not delete them yourself they may be able to help you retrieve them. 1-800-324-1356
