What freq do you guys run when searching for fish? The structure shows up way better for me on the 800 but I don't see fish really when running the 800

I typically use 455kHz when idling around searching as it gives me better range. If I find something interesting I may switch to 800kHz for a more detailed view of it.

455 in water less than 20' deep, and especially when scanning over 100' out either side...and 800 for 20+ foot water, when I only scan about 80' to either side.

I agree with both of the above. I'm using 455 probably 95% of the time.
