Been told not to use NMEA and Ethernet together. So my NMEA goes to both units , Xi5, and a point one antenna. Have Platinum card @ console (gen 3) but cant get front graph to show Navionics at least in detail..no ethernet installed...many thanks in advance

You can't share charts via the nmea network. You can only share charts via ethernet. You should be able to run both at the same time

You can't share charts via the nmea network. You can only share charts via ethernet. You should be able to run both at the same time Well 2 reputable sources here on the lake advise against using both. Saying they interfere w/each other..

What is interfering with each other on the graph? There are numerous network settings thag can be configured for your NMEA sources and ethernet sources.. Think of all the Lowrance graphs on pro trails, nearly every one is connected with both nmea and ethernet at the same time.....

I have a HDS 12 & 9 Gen 3 and a HDS 9 Gen 2 all using both NMEA and Ethernet at the same time. With out both I could not control the Xi5 trolling motor, use the point 1 antenna and share sonar / map between units at the same time.
Has worked fine for over 2 yrs
