As usual I spent bass opener up on Lake Mille Lacs and things got crazy real quick. Found a school of smallies on my first spot and stayed taloned down for the next couple of hours. This was almost an every cast kind of morning. Ended up with my best 5 fish going 26.85lbs with big fish going 5-13. Called a buddy over to fish by me and he proceeded to catch a 5-4 and a 6-3 giant! Hope you enjoy the pics. I certainly keep looking at them.

Very nice. I did the thing, with similar numbers/weights, on Sturgeon bay for the WI opener. Nothing quite like a Smallie. It's easy to forget how they fight until you fish waters that have both largemouth and smallmouth in them. You'll think you've got on the world record largemouth and then wind up reeling in a 4lb smallmouth!
