TFF... I need your assistance.

I've worked on tons of trailers, wiring harnesses, and just about any wiring you can think of. I came across a first yesterday and I'm hoping someone can explain this one to me.

I have a 2012 Nitro Z8 and my back right turn signal stopped working. Well it's getting power to the plug for the truck but not past it. The green wire has an issue within the plug. So, my first thought was to just wire in a new plug. Once I started looking at it, it has two brown wires and 3 white wires. This is a first for me. I can buy a 5 wire plug with Blue, Yellow. green, White, and Brown. But I can't find anything with all 8. I don't want to really call Tracker Marine and have them charge me $50 for the plug, or however expensive it is.

Can I just combine the three whites and the two browns or am I missing something here?

Any five wire plug will work. White is ground. Just need one white. Green is turn and stop. Yellow is other turn and stop. Browns are running lights. And can be together. Blue is back up lights. And also goes to back up solenoid on trailer

Yeah, it looks like there are three grounds to have one main, and one down each tube for the lights to ground to.

The 2 brown wires make it unnecessary to run a jumper between the tail lights for the running lights. Makes it easier to wire the trailer for sure. Some harnesses also have a red wire for use with the center running lights if they are required. Tubular frames are a little more work but make a cleaner package.

Gary Purdy, is that a yes to combining, or using T-taps, for the three white and the two brown?

Don't use t-taps. They are not even a decent way to connect wires. Just break down a solder and heatshrink the wiring.

Not trying to question your know how or anything, but are you sure it's the plug itself? Those t-tap connectors on that trailer are junk and can cause strange problems. I would start at the tongue and at least replace each one with some good crimp connectors.
