 RIO!  9.75" Ashley's 1st Rio of 2017... she has picked up 1 big gill also 9.75"s...not a lot going on as for as the Gills, lots of Guadalupe bass which are just really pretty right now in the ultra clear water of Lake travis....we have visibility close to 15' in some places right now. water temps are still pretty low ie 72 degrees...once that temp gets up to around 75 we should hammer the big gills...

Nice fish Kent and Ashley! You have some great fisheries in your area!  Me,Mike,and Bob (Bob Landry) fished Travis this past January and caught about 50 very nice Bluegill. Found them in 20 feet of water by a dock! Had non stop action for about two hours.

The water in Travis is about as clear as I've seen it in the 30 years I've been here.

Buchanan is full of fish! Caught many bruiser sunfish/crappie/bass of all types and great kitty lake too. But Rios are one of a few species I have not yet caught there...
