My gas water heater works fine, but I want to replace it eventually.

I flushed it the first week I moved in.
The previous homeowner never flushed it. The water was all rust brown.

Most manufactures say if it hasn't been flushed in 5 years then don't start flushing it

I am still a fan of tank water heater over tankless.

Tankless is still not there in technology yet.

I have a tankless mounted on the outside wall of the new house. I like the fact that I can have an endless amount of hot water.
