Best spots we ever had on Texoma was the old boat ramps on the Ok side. Cats would tunnel under the edges and at the ends of the concrete. Some of the bigger holes would reach all the way across the ramp and could hold several big flatheads. There was a rock ledge near 377 bridge running east/west that held lots of big blues in the past. Go get you some!

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I started noodling the Guadalupe and San Antonio rivers south of San Antonio a few years ago for the adrenaline. I don't think jumping from a plane could provide a bigger rush! I'm about 2" taller than a dwarf so I always take a BIG young fella along to keep my nose above water during the twist and shake! Nice fish! Leave a few for later if you are so inclined. CK

Its a fun sport, sadly it removes alot of good seed fish that cuts spawn production severely.
It takes a good while to raise those 20-40lb,most lakes are already showing the impact of noodling the last 10yrs.
We still go even at my age,CPR rules apply but it wont be enough to impact the damage already done in yrs passed.

We only eat those under 20lb now when caught on a pole

If anyone wants to go noodling one Saturday at CC, shoot me a P.M. I will take you out anywhere on the lake you want to go and watch / help from inside the boat. Gas and a sandwich lunch is on me. I have a nice 24' pontoon boat. Only rule is they are released after we take a few picture.

2 Bedroom Lake house on CC for rent. P.M. me!

I wish more noodlers would practice CPR. But most of my exposure to noodling has been from just a handful of people. Maybe more do than I realize.
