So I went out to Thomas this morning. Caught 5 chunky bass (4 on senko 1 on spinner bait) before I got blown off the lake. The ramp is on a really shallow grade. Had to back up truck to the front tires to launch. And the wind was blowing right into the ramp. Made launching and trailering quite an adventure today.

Wind really limited where I could fish. Will definitely give it another try when not so windy.

Fished the islands close to the pumping station last weekend. Seems like every piece of isolated cover on points had a 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 lb fish in it.

Caught 1 fish on a spinnerbait, the rest were on power craws in black/blue or green pumpkin. Color didn't seem to matter a whole bunch.

Out of a dozen fish I had 2 fish that were right at 2 lbs. Everything else was 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 lbs. Fished for a couple hours in the morning and then an hour or so that evening.

Then fished Alan Henry all day on Sunday and caught a 1 1/2 lb fish on a spinnerbait and an 8" fish on a 10xd.

I fished JB Thomas on Sunday on my way back from Lake Stamford. Only fished two hours until the wind got up to the point that it just wasn't fun. Caught a couple of chunks and only fished one spot. That ramp is a beating. 30 yards away it is 50 foot deep. Can't believe there wasn't a better place to build one.

Yea I am about done with Alan Henry. It's a beautiful lake but just tired of one little dink here and there. Is there anywhere else to launch at Thomas? That ramp is positioned right into the prevailing wind direction. Real pain in the [censored] especially if fishing solo.

How was Stamford?
