My dad passed away 9 years ago. He is the reason I am a trout fishing addict. We had a house in Matagorda on the river for 40 yrs til 2000. We were always there. We fished the west shoreline if east Matagorda my whole life and have gotten some big trout there over the years. I am finally letting go and me and some buddies will be kayaking his ashes to our spot and setting my dad free. I will be putting up a pvc cross to mark the spot and hope it stays up a long time. If anyone is in the area please stop and wet a line. We will be fishing after we finish.

Your Dad's spirit will be with you forever and he will be by your side. I know the feeling well. I thank God each day for giving me the Dad I had!
