After a few trips on Fork and a little trip to South Louisiana for a Crawfish festival I was back on Lavon for two trips today.
Lake is starting to get normal after the spawn and fish are starting to get back to feeding. You will have to weed through the small and the lake is full of small fish! We probably caught 150 short fish to catch 60 keepers. Better fish seem to be 10' deep. Pick a depth and fish 10'. Still can catch some 4-6' early but 10' seems to be the most consistent depth.
1/8 and 1/4 ounce jigs in white/chart, sour grape/chart and Orange/chart worked today. And will work tomorrow I'm sure. Don't leave fish to go find fish. If your only catching dinks keep fishing until you quit getting bit. Big fish are mixed in with small fish. Only secret is keep your bait in the water.

I was out Sunday and seemed to find about the same depth. I was catching nice fish in 8' and a few dinks mixed in. I didn't slay them by any means, but enough for a nice fry.

Hey Jerry, Adam is finding fish anywhere from 4-12ft, nothing super consistent and not many keepers, but he is pretty much converted to crappie fishing.

Glad to hear that. I see him from time to time on the lake.
