Cut shad was the only thing that could get a bite. (Please excuse the poor lighting in the video.)

Despite the technical conditions I still enjoyed the video. Good job.

👀 Hi, I got a boat a couple years ago and I live by joe pool so thats where I go, but Other than small fish around the bridges I cant find any fish unless the birds are there. I went out last weekend too and looked for catfish all day with no luck except 1 10 incher. Where would be a good area to start fishing for catfish for someone new to Joe Pool? I would sincerely appreciate any advice as I am tired of just feeding small fish when Im out there.

I was catching small ones in open water for around 30 minutes. I moved closer to the bank a located a few larger fish. The water was muddy Saturday, so I think that may have had something to do with it. They would not take any of my dip baits. Cut shad was the only thing that worked. Look for trees and stumps near dropoffs in open water. If you go in the creeks, get as close to the bank as you can. There is a small creek to the left of the boat ramp at Loyd park, which usually holds some fish. Walnut Creek to the South at Loyd park is also good.
