Had to cancel a trip to Arkansas tomorrow due to rain. Any suggestions on where to go on a 1 or 2 night trip tomorrow ? Anybody been on the Brazos below pk or Whitney lately? I'm pretty much open to anywhere within a few hours from dfw.

From Aledo, Wheeler Branch would be very close (Glen Rose) and it is always a hoot to fish just because it is so danged nice down there. There are a few hotel/motels not far from the lake. No overnight camping if that is what you had in mind.

Any area of the Brazos would be great, below PK or Whitney. And, speaking of that Glen Rose area, I think some put in around Pecan Plantation on the south end of the lake.

You'd need to get some more "intelligence" from others here on the fishing prospects, water levels, and more . . . but the Paluxy River down near Glen Rose, too, would be super nice.

Finally, Mineral Wells might be worth a look.

Report back on where you end up, how you make out!

Brad

That's what I was hoping for (Intel). I will post a report.
