howdy yall! I was talking with a guy I work with about a mold I cut on my CNC mill at work. The mold was a tail for a cast swim bait, it turned out great! so I was wondering why not just print on my 3D printer! I did a few quick designs and printed them out. It works GREAT!! you can go from design to water in a day! I have attached a few pics, the aluminum tail mold and then one of a jig body (black mold) and the other (white mold) is a tail i am going to use on a crank bait I'm making. I can see the pictures, That's pretty neat man, are they pretty glossy baits like from an aluminum mold? I guess I don't really understand how a 3D printer works. I'm wanting a frog open pour mold, Ive made a few molds out of plaster but not happy with them.

I'm wanting a frog open pour mold, Ive made a few molds out of plaster but not happy with them. I will have to say NO they are not as shinny as an aluminum mold. They have a texture to them kind of like a deck of cards set at a slight angle but not as drastic. the layers are 1/4 of a millimeter thick. look at the picture and you can see the layers. I have 2 working at the moment. I have a PRUSA I3 MK1 and a WANHAO duplicator I3.
