My 8 year old daughter landed her first carp this afternoon, she joins 4 older brothers in the carp club.

PB common = 38.5 lbs
PB mirror = 22.5 lbs
PB musky = 52 inches (40 lb fatty)
PB blue cat = 59 lbs
PB lake sturgeon = 57 inches
PB alligator gar = 65 lbs

Carp up here often get interesting coloration after the winter, we've caught light and dark ones, sometimes almost red, and even one that was bordering fluorescent yellow. Their color seems to stabilize as the water warms up and clears up, rivers are usually very stained and muddy during spring thaw, especially after all the heavy rains we are getting here.
