I have a 2010 Wilderness System Ride 13.5 and wondered if there was a way to rig one of the new seats to that year model. I like how they sit up higher now and the new seats say 2012 and newer. I wondered if there was a way to make mine work....

thanks.

My 2015 135 ride has rails that are molded into the kayak that the seat slides on. Without those rails spaced apart like they are the newer seat won't work. Those lawn chair seats are $350 and not worth it in my Imho. I have the airpro freedom elite high seat which was discontinued and replaced by the lawn chair and it works great for me. So I won't be changing. I want the low seat for offshore paddling if you know of someone selling one cheap I'll by it.

I had a Ride 135 the older model also and the newer seat will not work because of the shape of the seat well which is more rounded.
What I did was buy a thicker foam seat cushion which raised you up a couple of inches, and plug all the scupper holes which kept the cockpit area nice and dry.
I miss that old Ride and wish I still had it. The high seat isn't all that great as you give up stability the higher up you sit anyway.
