Has anyone fished the pond on the SE corner of the mall in Frisco?

Are you talking about the one next to the Brazilian steakhouse? I've been curious myself. After my wife and I ate at that restaurant recently, I told her to wait in the truck for a few minutes so I could throw some jigs in that pond. She refused...haha.

I live not too far from there. Once I get back in town I'll go check it out. From what I've heard there are fish in there. But honestly I don't know

Its crossed my mind before to fish those ponds but just seemed kinda akward to me. I would probably do it anyways though lol. Maybe when I take my phone to the apple store to get it fixed I'll take a rod with me. Let us know if someone tells you that you can't fish there.

I think if you fished it in the day time there is like a 95% chance security will tell you to leave.
Now if you went at night and stayed low profile... I think it could be done without issue.

That's it, I'm fishing it for everyone who has wanted to stop there. Any requests on what lure? I'll go Thursday night and report back on Friday.
Unless any of you are mall security...and I have decided that no, it looks terrible and pointless to fish.

I don't really care what you throw, just want you to catch something there. I've wanted to fish it countless times but didn't. I'd be throwing a green pumpkin senko just to try and get bit.

F*** da po-po and do it! Haha, Jk. Watermelon red senko, green pumpkin jig with craw trailer, or white ribbit frog gets my vote.

Wasn't caught, but I caught some fish! I had to wait for the mall security to make their rounds and then I went in all ninja like. After a few small bites with a yamamoto worm I switched over to a Berkeley crawdad and caught 8 catfish. WHAT? Yes, you heard me correctly. I've only ever caught bass with them but whatever works. I moved around and switched to some Road Runners and caught multiple green sunfish. Those suckers put up a fun fight.
Sadly, no bass.

Unfortunately bullheads and green sunfish are typically the fish you will find in a body of water that has never been stocked with fish. They are the fish most likely naturally find their way into a pond. Bluegills, bass, and especially channel catfish would be a sign that it was stocked.

Yup. Water gets up to about 2' in some spots. Dont go during or after a rain, you will die lol. I found them about a yeaar ago on my supermoto. Need to be able to bounce up a 3' ledge to get to the majority of the tunnels. Also, ride slow. My buddy ate it after hitting a turtle... though it was really funny. He got messed up pretty bad.

As for bass in the pond. My biggest was about 3lbs, but he was a toaad. Mostly dinks in there. Lots of bluegill. There are much better ponds to fish in the area.
Lemme see dem fish tiddies
