Started a new kayak here a while back. It will be 15' X 29". Western Red Cedar, balsa and fiberglass. Some patches of Kevlar for toughness.

Got some more glass on it. Just a couple of patches left to glass the basic hull. Still lots of work after that.

Very nice, looks like alot of hard work and patience were involved with it. My Grandfather and his brothers were boat builders in San Diego,CA it was called Boyce Bros boat and yacht.

Very nice. Need to dig my book out and actually build a kayak. Been wanting to for years.

I have only a small amount of glass left to apply and the current weight is 25 lbs. So I am optimistic to keep the finished hull weight under 40 lbs.

She should b fast at 15'x 29" &
40# is light!!! woot bouncy taz
