Has been "Limiting Out Too Quickly"! Bet you thought I was going to say THE WIND! lizard
While the strong winds have been a problem a couple of days, they haven't kept us from fishing almost everyday. We did listen to the Weatherman and reschedule Wednesday's Trip and then it turned out to be a perfect morning with a nice breeze, great cloud cover and only a little drizzle! Never trust a Weatherman! dance2

Sandies are everywhere you look with the tried & true areas like Pelican Island, Roadbeds and Flats holding large schools of aggressive fish. Your graph will "go dark" when looking in the 20'-30'FOW on drop-offs and humps. There's been a little top water activity each day, but 90% of our fish have come on RSR Silver or Chartruse Minnow or Shad Slabs. ( www.rsrlures.com ) We've had a 50 or 75 fish limit most days in a couple of hours. Then it's time for some Catfishing or just have an early burger at the Marina. Watch out for the small Hybrids as they are everywhere also. Good news is that we're picking up a few Keeper Hybrids almost every trip.

If you want to get in on this action, we still have a few May Weekdays open. Give us a call and Let's Go Catchin'! We specialize in FAMILY FISHING FUN! Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz .

Finished off the week today by "Making Lemonade out of Lemons" as the Southeast Wind was already howling at daybreak and only got stronger as the AM progressed. Adam had a Dad/Son Combo and I had Papaw, Mimi and their 7year old Grandson Parker!(Both regular Customers who have fished with us for 15 years and really wanted to get on the Lake today.) We made our way along the South Shoreline from Fisherman's Point to Ferguson Point and stayed out of the WIND for the next 3 hours or so. At that point, the two boats had caught AN ESTIMATED 400 SANDIES, had all the fish needed for their Fish Frys, and the crews were ready for some late breakfast. Not many folks on the Lake today as it was a bit too rough for most. We got lucky and found fish that were schooling off & on most of the AM and caught doubles till the folks were tired! Slabs, Jig Teasers and Cohos accounted for the catch! Time for a day off after fighting the Fish Wars for the past week! peep
