So, I was in an Asian grocery on Sunday and they had both striped bass and white bass for sale. Is it legally to sell game fish in Texas? Do they have to be farm raised or something?

In fact there is and they hide local NETTED game fish in with imported paper work
We had it around here a few years ago(you would find the processing left overs on the bank.)
They filleted everything regardless of type or size.
We dont have an Asian market any where around here either

Of course they are farm raised.

Most sell black bass as well $4.99, Some have live black bass at $12.99 lb. Most also have live talipa.

The one in Plano at Legacy/75 called Jugso has live frogs, soft shell turtles, crawdad, and many other assorted muscles and clams, they carry live bass at that location.

Some farm stores sell them for stocking, pond king near Gainesville has them so I can see a private farm raising and selling them to markets.

I've had Asians come up to me as I was unloading my boat and ask to buy fish. In their defense, this is common in their former country where people do not have the luxury of fishing just for fun. The law says you cannot sell game fish and that's a good thing. Invariably, these people almost cannot believe it when I tell them it's against the law for me to see them fish. I have given a few away at times like this though.

There's needs to be some education done to recent immigrants to make them aware of the law. This ignorance or dismissal of the law is also how we end up with Asian Carp and snake heads in our waters.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.
