Just got some collinite No.920 cleaner and the No.885 wax! Trying to find a good wax that stays and keeps stains off. I know several chemicals to get your boat completely clean, in having trouble finding a good hard wax that stays. I don't want to keep putting these stain removal chemicals on and potentially damaging the gell coat. What do you guys use?

I only wax my boat every two years. It gets wiped down every time it comes out of the water with Vinegar and Distilled Water. I use a wet shammy for this process. I carry one gallon of water each trip and ring the shammy out often with fresh water as I go around the boat.

All my boats have been white and most have had a white bottom. I have never seen a water line or stain build up over the two year period and I fish the slop as far back as I can get.

Wax every year or two. Bass Boat Saver wipe down (mostly) every trip. Keeps it looking great. Rarely need to actually wash unless I drag it down the highway after a rain.

Most of the time Mean Green will take it right off. I always have hot water and Dawn ready to wash it off after removal.

If that doesn't work there is a product that I can only get from Peil Interprizes in Odessa. It is called Hand Glaze which is an extremely find rubbing compound that is put on with wet sponge then buffed with a wet buffer pad. It will dry to a glaze just like wax and it is a wax; so take dry cotton towels and wipe it off just like wax.

Magic eraser works great on this.

I have tried just about every product out there over 40 years of boat ownership and have never found anything that shines as well or last longer than Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax. I use it about twice a year and after every day on the water I wipe it down with Bass Boat Saver. I have had my current boat for 11 years and it still looks showroom new.

Worx toilet bowl cleaner applied with a sponge will remove stains as well as wax on gelcoat. You should use a good paste wax afterwards to protect the gelcoat.

I used Star brite hull stain remover that I got at Academy and it took it all off. Spray on, wait a few minutes, then go over the area with a foaming brush (at the car wash) then rinse.

I got the on and off. That's the best working stuff I've ever seen just brush on and wash away.

How did you determine that Meguiar Marine wax lasts longer than others when you wax your boat every 6 months?
