I'd like to take my uncle out on an offshore fishing charter. We have never done any offshore fishing, so it will be a new experience for us. Someone told me to look at Galveston Party Boats, but I don't know how well we will do with almost 100 other people fishing off one big boat. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Also, what is a fair average cost/person on a normal 12/hour trip?

Look at GPB's fishing reports to see how you might do. This time of year, there probably won't be 100 people. BTW, a charter will cost a whole lot more than a party boat. GPB and Capt Mat are a good group and worth the money.

If you don't mind driving a little further, give Epic Charters in Freeport a hollar. Young but experienced Captains who will work hard to make sure you have a great trip.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.
In a world of compromise.....Some don't.

There are a lot of options for private charters in Freeport. We run the Pescado Loco, a 36' Contender, out of Freeport. It will cost you more than buying spots on a head boat. You have the whole boat and crew to yourself. We also run the Blue Fin, a 48' twin diesel, that carries groups up to 17. Most of our charters on this boat are 12-15 people. If you choose to buy a few spots on a head boat I would recommend calling Galveston Party Boats in Galveston. They run a good operation and Capt. Matt is first class.
