Well I have been working around the house the past few days off. Built a end table for the chairs on the back porch, mowed the yard, took the grass clippings and a bunch of scrap wood from various projects that I don't want to burn in the fire pit, varnished, stained, some painted, pressure treated etc....4-500 pounds of it all lol. Well anyways, I got out after the trip to the dump. Headed to Sulphur Creek in Lampasas. Was a little slow but managed a few in the hour or so I was there. The results below.

Above caught on a yellow hopper. Below a soft plastic trout magnet on a 1/80oz jig head. 8' TFO BVK 3wt, Maxima Chameleon 8# hand twisted leader.

Nice fish. Is the second one on the worm a longear or is it one of the orange spotted sunfish, which I have read about on here but never caught or seen in real life? It doesn't look quite right to be a longear but I guess it could be some sort of longear hybrid.

I believe it is hybrid. Longear/green sunfish.

Pretty nice "slow day". The third fish on the hopper is my favorite.
