Getting ready to strip my boat down and freshen the paint up. The paint on it now is chipping off, looks like the last paint job was probably low prep spray can. I have done some research online and watched a few videos for tips. Just wondering if there are any tips out there from locals that have first hand experience? Trial and error info is appreciated.

If you strip it down to bare aluminum, make sure and use an etch primer before you topcoat or the paint won't stick properly. Checkout https://www.tinboats.net

Thoroughly researched this (very, very nearly bought an aluminum boat a while back)

This link outlines the method often discussed over at tinboats.net
