I caught a very fast swimmer in my net today out of a creek. never seen one like it. downward facing sucker like mouth. long skinny body with colored lateral stripes.

Mike, it looks like a shiner to me.

Where did you capture it?

A mouth like that makes it likely to be a bottom feeder or one that feeds off of plants and/or tiny organisms attached to them.
