For the biggest bang for the buck get a float tube & some waders. Concentrate on bridges. Places like Buck Creek ramp offer some good fishing close by. Two bridges. Little Elm ramp at Lewisville works. Also most of the lakes in the area have areas or bridges convenient for tubing. It's great in the summer, cool and shady on the bridges. Beats the bank. thank you, sir!

If fishing on Bardwell, try Highview Marina. If I head out that way one of these days I will give you a shout a few days in advance and we will meet up.

Agree with MO!!!!! web site for Pepop's hand tied jigs:http://handtiedcrappiejigs.com/ I use Limeaid jig, Lake Palestine special. TOW is a must as is the Guide.
good luck.
Using the site for a while...this is really great to share fishing ideas and success with others.
