Going to Caddo Lake for a long weekend. I don't want any spots, but if there is any advice on water depth and baits to use it would be much appreciated.

Get a lake map (with road sign poles), make sure you have a GPS, top water in the morning, then pitch cedar trees.

Topwater early and fish grass or salvania in shallow trees. I've been doing my best shallow shallow rather then deeper trees 3-4ft

I appreciate the advice. Had a good weekend, caught a few nice fish and lost two real nice ones. All in all a good weekend, flipped trees the whole time. Seem to have done better on the lake end rather than the river. Do they tend to move up the river more in the summer months?

This right here, you can get lost as a goose in a hail storm on that lake trust me I know. Every 50 yards looks the same.
