After a couple of slow trips and a whole lot of wind finally had a good trip. Had new customer Tom Goff out for a trip.
Looked for an hour and a half and found nothing. Found a school on a deep water flat. 24 fow. Ended up with 60 on the clicker.
All fish caught on chartuese and white ole ugly slabs.
I want to rant a little bit. Had a guy in a bass boat come in close and anchor up with a anchor that might hold a kick
boat in calm weather. Starting draging his anchor through the fish. Mentioned it to him that if you drag an anchor thru the
area you will put the fish down. Well he did not know what i was talking about so he pulls out another little anchor with about
40 ft of rope.We were in 25 fow. Now he is dragging two anchors through the area. Both anchors only slightly slowed his boat down.
If you are going to anchor near people catching sandbass get a good and big anchor and put enough rope on it to hold your boat. I think
the rule of thumb is three times the depth of the water. I always hate to say anything but this poor guy did not have a clue.

Heck, I carry a 10 lb anchor and 100ft of rope for my 14 ft kayak. I listen to those that offer knowledge too!

That kind of stuff happens. About all one can do is try to educate them constructively.

That is what I tried to do. But the people who know the least generally don't take advice.
