5200 is the best choice but nothing lasts. I tried doing 5200 and it lasted less than a year before it started coming loose.
Your brand should have a lifetime warranty and its a pain to remove but thats the only proper way to do it. Hot air helps but it takes 4 hours or better to all the goo off.
I talked to Roger Sutterfield (Hamby's) told me that a certain number of keel guards will fail. They can't get the adhesive to work perfectly all the time. They sent me a Hamby's light duty keelguard to replace the original and its been on for 7 or 8 years, no problem.

Allison it is a Hamby's I suspect.
No Drum Boy needs to find him a different rig. He's looking for something in Booger Green.
I keeping this sled for a tad longer.

I'd go ahead and fix it right rather than trying to rig it for a little while. Last thing I would want would be to make that legend bow hook because of a loose keel guard.
I hate photobucket.

Lol. I guess that can happen to folks in a Legend if you are a rookie boat driver.
To be honest you have to respect the boat, or it can bite you. And that's no lie.
I was hot dogging it one day just trimming down hard cutting tight and I could feel it grab had it been a lesser man in the driver seat it prolly would have ejected him.
Not the flat skipitydodah Skeeter bottom that you can spin circles in.

I'm glad you are a great driver. I know to many people that have been thrown from lesser drivers.

All I'm saying is I know the make can do this. I respect it. You have to drive it right. Most of the time it happens to those guys driving wtfo trimmed way up high and rapidly letting off the gas. It's quirky much like a Triton.

marine GOOP. my keelshield came off for about 4" and I patched it back with GOOP about 3 yrs ago, still holding great. wipe it with acetone first to clean the surfaces then apply goop liberally, it dries and stays clear. lowes and academy carry it. have not seen this one before, should be good for it too. https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-GOOP-II-1...rds=marine+goop

use a hair dryer to soften the shield, goop it good, use duct tape to hold till it dries, overnight at least and 24 hrs is best.

This stuff is great. Installed a transducer in a kayak last year with Goop and had to remove it due to air bubbles. Probably took me an hour to get it loose and another hour to get the Goop off the transducer. This stuff won't let go on plastic. Also sold at HD. https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-GOOP-II-1...rds=marine+goop
