Just starting to come up. Is there any thing you can spray, or do you have to dig it out by the roots to kill it?

glyphosate...the active ingredient in Roundup...walmart has a generic variety...check for the 41% active ingredient...i use 1 oz / gallon water with some soap for surfactant...be patient...takes a couple of weeks...might havta reapply...johnsongrass is tuff~~~

i think Image is a selective herbicide for nutgrass (nutsedge)...but it might work on johnsongrass also~?~?~?

Put a rubber glove on. Mix up Roundup with a little squirt of dishwashing liquid so the stuff sticks better to the grass.
Put on a cotton glove on one hand and the mixture in a bucket.
Put the glove in the weed killer and then touch the demon weed. Its labor intensive but great for spot treatment.
