She's finished!!! Really happy with the final product. This thing is a beast with no flex but it comes at a 5.8 lb price tag! I'm willing to live with that though. Definitely going to put it to use this weekend. At least I hope I can get something worthy of it. If not I'll measure my bait! On another note, I'm looking for a proper name! If y'all don't mind indulging me, please leave some below.

I second "Hawgnado"... but you will probably not want to pull it out a 2nd time to measure fish at 5.8lbs...

Saltwater tournaments will be a lot easier now for photoing my catch. This isn't an everyday thing but it'll be fun to use when I get something big for a CPR.

The "Texan Trough" Hawgnado is nice... but this thing is all about size Especially as you contrast TX and NY. May as well abuse the stereotypes.

Hey Gent's thanks for all the suggestions! I'm going with the Texan Trough! It has a nice ring to it. Thanks Searsay!

Have you thought of drilling holes and filling it with closed cell foam to add flotation? Nice work.

I'll second Bert... It will go overboard at some point. So if you can make it float will give you a better chance of not losing it. If that is not an option - tether it!
Good to hear you liked that name!

Drill multiple holes in it to cut the weight. It won't effect the strength if you place the holes correctly.
Just one more cast!

@Iconn4 - It wouldn't be MOAB... MOAT "Mother Of All Trough's" Though given the interplay between NY/TX that bullet has - i think the Texan Trough still wins
