My brother's been fishing for crappie and bream using a 10 foot crappie pole with the small reel. Over the past several trips to the same lake, he has broken to rods trying to bring a large fish in. What's a recommended replacement rod that has a stronger backbone?

On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?

The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

I have posted this several times. . 8 ft proangler, you can swing a slab crappie into the boat with no worries, ( except the hook pulling out)

I like my Pro Angler but I have to put in a plug for Bonehead rods too. I really like my Boneheads.

I feel your pain on this issue Dan. Got several Wally marshal Bottoms now being used as tomato stakes in my garden. Going to get a pro angler next.

Pro Angler seems to be the proven rod! always a sad day when those old poles that have served us so well either break or most often with mine someone in the boat steps on it! But the redeeming factor is the feeling of getting a new fishing pole!!

Another option if you are so inclined:

www.acccrappiestix.com

They are still waiting for their next shipment of 10 footers.

They do have the Green (8 Footer in Stock) GSO8M.

I already own 3 of the Green 8 Foot Rods (Two-Piece) and 1 Red 7 footer (One Piece).

I just ordered another 4 of the Green 8 foot rods today actually.

I landed a 30-35 pound yellow cat with an 8 pound fluorocarbon leader on a 1/8 ounce Crappie jig on Fork with the Green 8 Footer. I was sold!

Pro Anglers are great rods. I have nothing negative to say about them.

I just personally like my Green ACC Crappie Stix 8 footer better.

You can't go wrong with either Pro Angler or ACC Crappie Stix.

Sam Heaton Super Sensitive from B&M is a very durable and yet very sensitive rod. I have yet to break one. You can swing 2lb crappie in the boat and not have to worry about backbone. I don't worry one bit about pulling fish out of brush or trees either. its pricy but the 10 and 12' poles are killer.

A lot of good rods on market to choose from like the above mentioned.
I don't think you can beat Pro Angler rods when you want, sensitivity, backbone,DURABILITY,fair pricing, free shipping, and great service.

When your guiding and on the water 150-200 days a year, this is the rod to have, especially for it's durability!

Give Ed a call and get you some! bolt

I have some 9' Pro Angler rods that are probably 10 years old, and they STILL hold up to everything I dish out. Just sayin...
