Wanting to put a 9 @ the console...Work off of trails a lot a night..and will be adding a point 1 too.. is Carbon that much better than Gen 3? Thanks in advance

The Carbon screen is going to be brighter and can be seen better from side angles. The processor is going to make selections move faster, but in regards to what you are stating in this post, I would suggest to take advantage of Gen-3 pricing and rebates. The HDS-9 Gen 3 will work well with the Point-1 and with 3D Structure Scan.

The Carbon 9" model has a much higher resolution (1280x720) screen than the old HDS 9 Gen 3 (800x480) which is like a stretched out HDS 7 screen. I plan on getting one soon.
