Get a replica done so you can still eat them!
Good question on the replica vs skin mount price comparison. I'd like to know too.
I see some mounts that are just too dam shiny. Can that be reduced?

I see some mounts that are just too dam shiny. Can that be reduced? I charge $16/in. for skin and $18/in. for replicas. I don't use cheap replicas and a good replica costs well more than the cost of the mount. No big secret as to the cost, you can find the replica companies on line. Replicas come disassembled. You put the fins, tail, gills and head on and do all the seam work before priming/painting. Most the replicas I use are urethane, not fiberglass or plastic and they make them to order so sometimes it takes 3 months or so to get them. A fish had to be sacrificed to make a replica. Good replicas are rotomolded, so they are pretty good on both sides and uniformed. The shine is the gloss. Most like the "wet look". Unless someone asks otherwise, all my mounts are glossed to look wet.

10.40 is the smallest I would consider. That one would have been filleted.
