TPWD says they're in there in small/medium numbers, but no one seems to fish them. Has anyone ever fished for white bass in Toledo Bend?

I have fished for whites on the south end numerous times. They are very tricky. My observation, if you are planning to go there, is to try to find the shad. This can be a daunting task so do not be discouraged. The south end is deep (75 to 100 feet deep)... roaming bait balls and birds are what most people target.... but they are hard to find. When you do catch them, they are some monsters. Id suggest trying anywhere off creeks that come up to 20 feet of water. Good luck

Glad to hear that there are some in there. My folks just bought a place out there around mid-lake, and I'm not too big into catching ditch pickles. I wish they'd put some hybrids or more stripers in there, but I don't see that happening. Thanks for the advice.
