Finally had a chance to get on the water. Well not a chance, I just went even being as behind as I have been. If you do not get away now and again one will go crazy.
Spent the day with an old friend. We hit Lewisville but we went out in search of new waters. Well not new but different over the usual run...We found fish in many areas. Black/Chart was the color and 15' FOW was the depth with the fish feeding right on the bottom or just off the bottom 1' or less. What seemed to be the best pattern was to pitch the jig out, let it get to the bottom and slowly work it back. They were knocking the snot off it.
Lewisville is producing some of the best fishing I have seen in some time. Hope it continues.
We were in the Hickory Creek Arm. We tossed back as many smaller fish.

Biggest fish went 1.68

Nice day, similar to ours.

I'm sure your grandfather enjoyed a day out of the "Home".

I agree with this and we had similar luck Wednesday and Thursday out on Lewisville, except I don't really think color mattered. We caught some with chartreuse in it, some with pink/purple/blue in it. They were thumpin!

Thanks for the trip David. That was as good a trip as I've had in a year. Find 'I'm, catch 'um, repeat. I think the best part of the day was that we were fishing water that no one else paid any attention to. Good stuff.....

And no popcorn Ken. The 'home' lets me out often enough.

Well deserved! Nice job and report, thanks.
