Has anybody had any luck fishing Loughridge Lake at the Northwest Community Park in NW Forth Worth?

I went this morning for the third time and walked away skunked again.

I used to fish this place for years before the City got ahold of it and made it a park. In the past, would catch so many warmouth that I would literally have to up-size my bait to target largegmouth. Seriously, we'd catch 20-plus warmouth every time out there. I have caught some nice LMB's up to about 5-pounds.

Since the City acquired it, the fishing has definitely dropped-off dramatically. I'd guess it's due to the increase in fishing pressure it receives. I went there with my brother about a month ago in kayaks, we each caught 2-3. None over about 2-pounds even.

Another good spot bites the dust.....

That's what I was afraid of, my dad said they used to take a small stump jumper boat out there and would slay the Crappie and LMB.

Did you fish it off the bank and the dock ? I was thinking about taking my kayak out there.
