Myself and Clayton (The Wildman of the navidad) fished a hill country lake and the Bluegill bite was on "FIRE"! We fished from 10am till 3pm and caught about 100 nice gills. We kept about 50 for the frying pan. The fish were holding in about 15 feet of water on ledges. Worms with a bottom technique were used. All fish caught on ultra lights. Nailing a bunch of SLABS in the Texas Hill Country! It just don't get any better! fish

Back in the 80's a buddy and I fished a two acre tank near Texarkana and caught a ton of bluegills. Probably well over 100. It was a blast. Then we got home and started cleaning them - we were cleaning them until way after midnight.

That may be why I do mostly catch and release now. blush

Man, that just ain't right that Clayton gets to fish with you all the time and learn all your secret spots. Don't you have a job Clayton roflmao

Great job guys, looks like the ponds, creeks and very small lakes are fishing well. Hopefully the big lakes will kick off soon.

Clayton's pic sort of immediately reminded me of a rather famous photo of MLB catcher, Johnny Bench, holding a whole lot of baseballs, what was it 8 ???, in his hands.

But, you can't eat baseballs.

Nice day, lovely fish!

Brad
