Thanks. I've heard that "shut-up-and-fish" deals with electronics? I didn't know if he fixes them or just sells them. Does anyone know?

I do not break them open and make repairs. That will be a Humminbird situation. I can trouble shoot the matter to see if it is something simple like a connection or a bent or missing pin ect.....

Sometimes it is the simplest of things and then sometimes it is just time to upgrade.

Unless it has changed that $350 is the flat rate repair fee, not just to look at it.

I sent a 898 in and they went through it for $65. Whats up with that $350 ??? I would double check that price. Sounds funny to me. IMO

As the units get older the flat rate price goes up.

I was out fishing one day and it all of a sudden went off. I thought it was a fuse in the main line so I plugged it into the power cord which runs my back humminbird graph (it remained working). It still wouldn't come on, so I plugged my back graph in and it was working. Needless to say its not a fuse in the main line and not the plug because I tried two of them.
