 Rockport Trout Bite Heating Up

The trout bite has really started to heat up in the areas north of Aransas Bay. It has made for easy limits early and then we go hunt for reds/drum. The attached picture was from this weekend. I had two customers and we limited on trout early but had a hard time with the reds. We caught what seems like a million small reds (16"-18") everywhere we went. They decided to throw in the towel around noon. We had run out of bait (like I said, tons of little reds) and were throwing lures at that point. They were pretty wiped out but had a good day!!!

We could use the rain!! I swear every time it comes close the clouds part and it goes around us. We have gotten 2" at my house since the start of the year.
