Fished a ton last couple of weeks and this by far has been my best year on catching channel cats on Lake Conroe. As of yesterday I have caught 650 since end of March. I have a goal of 1000 by end of April. If the shad keep spawning for a couple more weeks I dont think I will have a problem hitting my mark. I think its on the down hill side though cats I am catching now have big row sacks so I bet they start their spawn very soon. If you like catching black bass on top water bite is awesome! Saw couple guys working the shallows catching some real nice 2-4lb fish on top water.
If you like to catch big bream that is gonna get fired up very soon caught a couple that rivaled a keeper crappie.
Few pictures I took last couple of outings.
