My wife and I went to Mission Tejas State Park this weekend and I managed to do a little fishing in the pond there. I got a few bluegill but I have never caught one as gold colored as this one.

Also last weekend I went out and tried a creek just a couple of miles from the house and ended up with a new place to go after work.

Those are both really pretty fish. I've seen a couple of pictures of bluegill that color on here and the sunfish board lately, but I never knew they could be that color.

Beautiful pictures.

I have one small pond that hasn't been stocked in probably 100 years and it has a strain of what I call "golden bluegills"...look very much like yours pictured.
