Well after getting the last creek run done on Good Friday with 65 sand bass on the flyrod i got to go with good friends Champion Fish and lennahorse to tawakoni. We got there at day light and whacked some big fish catching 18 hybrid/ striper. . Haven't felt that good of pull on a big fish in a while. After that slowed down we went looking and it was kind of slow. But Moon man Fishboy Frank told us that 1:45 was the start of prime time fishing and he was right. We ended up on a good school and landed over 200 big sand bass until Gene's trolling motor batteries went out --LOL-- or we would have stayed until dark. Thanks Gene and Larry for taking me along yesterday. That was one for the books.

One of the best trips and company could not be beat, proud to be a part of it. The glasses catch was the catch of the day for me. A new personal best!

Tawakoni is an amazing lake and chock full of white bass. Nice pics.

Spending time with good friends catching fish is the way to spend a Saturday.

Thanks for the update on Saturday Larry. It was hurtful to hear your had an awesome trip while I was working on honeydew listhe. . I had few projects needed to be done. Once the house is done I'm hitting Tawakoni. Great trip guys!

It was a great trip. At one time we had triple keeper Hybrids on and somehow managed looking like the 3 stooges running around and under each other but we got them in the boat. I told Keith when we got back in the truck that my arm was really sore but it was a good sore.

Andrew we mentioned that several times on the fly rod! We did put a dent in the fish there, all released.

Andrew i would have hooked everyone in the boat slinging that fly line --LOL--. I have plenty of REAL fishing gear for those bruisers at tawak.

Gene was HAMMERING everything in the lake. He was spot on. Larry got a 26 inch striper i don't have a pic but it was a good fish. I had a blast

I was told the state did a gill net survey of twok right after yall trip. The results came back saying all twok fish had sored/injured lips

LOL Yes Todd they also did a gill net on us and we all had sore arms --LOL--

Except for Larry cuz he's going back asap to try to catch a few.

Todd when the boss gave me my health back I do intend to use it up.
