I recently started fly fishing and I am wanting to catch a carp or two on my fly rod. What lakes near Longview would be good? I plan on releasing all fish caught. I know that the spawn is near and would like to catch one before they become love crazed and don't want to eat. I can find them easily when they spawn, but having difficulties finding them now. PMs are welcome. I wouldn't mind meetings my other locals to fish with either.

They have been spawning for at least a month at Lake Palestine,
I was crappie fishing on Saturday , they were tearing it up between the dam and the
horsefarm.
