Did a short solo trip to Whitney yesterday between 10:30 a and 12:00. Caught one around Loafers and had a 5-6 lb largemouth eat a swimbait and get off right at the boat. Decided to move around to Walling Bend area and fish some wind blown humps and points. Caught a 23 on a hump in front of the launch. Moved out in around 22 fow and saw fish in singles just roaming. No big schools. Hooked into a big one and had to chase him down with the wind blowing me in opposite direction. Ended up getting him in the boat and was heavy lifting one handed in the net. Ended up being 31 inches and fat. Had another one hit and screamed drag; fought him for a while and had some trouble with wind. Hook pulled but I think it was as big or bigger than the 31 incher. Caught another one 29 in the same area. The fish were really fat and healthy. Didnt weigh them but they were excellent fish. Its an outstanding day when you can catch a fish over 30 inches. To almost have two is a day to relish and enjoy. All of the big fish came on home made a-rigs with 6 inch swimbaits. Attaching a few pics of the 31 and 29.

You did good. I was out there Wednesday and couldn't mark any concentrations of fish either. Finally caught a few on shad but nothing the size you caught.

Good report, those are some nice stripers. Rob and I have been catching one or two nice ones each trip but Wednesday all we could find were small stripers and small sandbass.

Thanks, gonna try and go again tomorrow with my son and see what we can find. You guys have been on em alot over the past months. Might try and fish some sandies this time if we can find some.
