This link is the best I have found for something that isn't one of the "kits" that in my opinion are waaayyyy over-priced. Looking for plans to build a good but simple/cheap maybe 10x10 dock. Wandering what ya'lls preference is as far as anchoring it (poles, weights etc) and obviously the basic construction.

That plan would work fine. Use treated lumber if you want it to last more than a year. Some old oil well tubing would work great as an anchor point. Two joints of 2-3/8" pipe would be all you need. They are 32' long, and you could just drive them into the mud and tie the dock on.

this ^^^^ but add 2 evenly spaced cross pcs to the framing (in the middle) or those inside 2x6 will be able to flex.
