Never fished Fork before but that lake is on my to do list for sure. Right now in South Central Texas the sunfish spawn is on. Fish have moved to shallow water and are active. Docks in 10 to 12 feet of water are starting to hold some nice fish on our lakes down here. Fork should have a very healthy population of Bluegill. Look for them by docks, and stickup's in 8 to 10' of water. Also try shallow areas such as coves and look for beds. Best bait to use would be live night crawlers. Wish I could be of more help but again I have never fished Fork.

Fork is a good bream lake. I fished it regularly during the late 80"s and all through the 90's. Average fish size fell off after the LMBV impacted the bass for a few years so they over populated. But from what I here they are back and fishing is good. Be aware they had a huge rain early this week so water rise and color is off. May and June will be best months around the full moon. Caught lots of 10" fish out of there in my Fork years. Crickets are best. Find the fish casting a small jig, spinner etc... When you catch a couple in a row move in with crickets. Fish the beds from outside in starting on the edges first. Biggest fish will come from the best cover around the beds.

Probably a little early for Fork. Water was 63 last weekend and needs to be 70. A few big ones have been caught by crappie fishermen but not bedding up to my knowledge. I have had the best luck on Fork when the lily pads start to come out.

Great bluegill lake. They love crickets, but can also be caught on worms, waxworms and small minnows. I seem to have the best luck with waxworms, but you have to be quick on the hookset if you don't want them to swallow the hook. or just use a cricket hook no matter which bait you choose lol.
