I ordered a new transducer for my humminbird 1198c. The other was no reading depth or down imaging.
My question is the installation. When I hook up my monitor each time it has 4 ports that all are a part of one piece.
Do I just pull the one piece out that is connected to the bad ducer? I guess i'm not sure if the old transducer just comes unplugged from that piece that i plug in to the back of my monitor.

The square part (cable collector) plugged into the unit comes off by squeezing the tabs on the side. The cable collector has 2 Phillips head screws. Remove those screws and the cable collector comes apart in two pieces. Remove the connector end of the transducer cable and replace with new one. Once you get them apart its easy to see how they fit
