Tried to fish Friday at FPH. Got blown off the lake. 3 fish total hard 4 hours. Very. Hard to go boat back on trailer. Who ever came up with the idea of that floating wave breaker at the main ramp has [censored] for brains. It does absolutely nothing to break the waves making it damn near impossible to load or unload at the main ramp. I owned a home on FPH when the grants were made for improvements at the lake. I do believe the original plan was for a rock reef to be built. I do not know how the ideodic idea for the floating wave breaker got approved but it stinks. Drag that worthless piece of [censored] out of the way and make a fishing pier out out it. The only thing it is of any use for is a roosting place for the gulls. Larry Simmons iI you don't like my post I'm easy to find in Clyde Texas PS. Nice frisbee golf area you built. I have never seen anyone using it in 3 years.

I have visited with our potentially new mayor. You are right that wave break is useless. I have another meeting with our potential mayor Monday on other matters and we will discuss this as well. It had broke loose and has not been reset correctly and never worked good in the first place. I fish this lake sometimes in 4 foot swells and have done amazing. Seems like this lake actually is better in the wind.

I was wondering what that was for, because it's not a wave breaker Fished there last weekend in the wind and all it was in the way of boat traffic

I think there should be restrooms at the main ramp. I remember the original plans I saw had restrooms on north end of parking lot.

Yeah I think they spent too much on Bulldog construction for things that did not last. Markers for the breaker wall on the ramp etc. They just got the dock welded again because of the waves. Did you know they sold the intake and land to "The House of Yahweh"? That is why all the no trespassing signs.

I heard the City of Clyde bought it, going to run a pipeline to Clyde Lake for city water.
