I'll admit I left the little red steering locks on right after I got the TH motor toter. I almost broke the steering wheel trying to turn the boat after I launched. A guy that had one saw them on my steering cable and let me know.

I hustle to front of boat to hook strap to eye. Yup you probably guessed it. The boat motor was turned hard left and trailer has high side bunks. We were into the next lane and that dude trying hard to keep us off his new shinny sled! Got lucky. No damage. Pride wounded a little but at least we weren't in my boat.

Alan Henry ramp is too steep. I used to worry in college I wasn't going to be able to get the boat back up the ramp w/ my small truck. Had to pick the dry lane and have someone bouncing up and down on the rear bumper to get back up the ramp. Of the stupid things I did in my college days, that's pretty low on the list though...

Went out on Texoma this winter Striper fishing with a buddy. Cold front hit and we headed back to the ramp. Get there and one guy has a trailer down the ramp and loading a boat by himself. The next 3 lanes are taken up by a couple guys trying to get their ski boat loaded. Back and forth down the ramp, cockeyed left one time, right the next. Dude finally gets the trailer in the water but still at a 45 degree angle. His buddy proceeds to try to load it anyway, but heading straight on. Keeps giving it more gas, boat won't load. More gas, looks like he started a campfire at the ramp there is so much smoke. My buddy and I still joke about it, "I think the problem is, you aren't giving her enough gas". Anyway, guy finally gives up and reverses off the trailer. Then I hear the guy on the boat yelling, "is this our board?" He tore one of the bunks off. So, he motors over to the dock and tied up. We take that opportunity to load our boat. Lucky for this guy, the other guy on the ramp happened to have a cordless drill with him and some spare screws. So he helps them out and gets the bunk back on. Then, here we go again with the backing. Though he was going to drowned that SUV at one point. Finally gets the boat loaded and I think the show is over. Start putting the straps back on my boat and picking things up, and hear a loud thud. Look up, and the trailer had fell off the ball when he tried to pull it up the ramp. No telling how far the guy pulled it to get there...

Did that until I had to park the boat outside one night and it rained 6" inches overnight. Won't do that again. I'm surprised the weight of the water inside my bilge didn't blow out my tires..

I have left the plug out a time or 2. As of now I have never left the straps on. I am just curious of why they asked for the dos and don'ts if they have been boating many times before?
